EDIBLE GARDEN CITY is a social enterprise that champions the
Grow-Our-Own-Food movement in cities around the world to improve food sustainability and resilience, starting locally with Singapore.
Our food production wing was previously known as Citizen Farm.

WHAT WE DO: AT A GLANCE
DESIGN, BUILD, MAINTAIN. Foodscaping
We design, build and maintain food gardens in tropical urban Singapore, which include restaurants, hotels, schools, residences, and more. Since 2012, we have completed more than 260 food gardens in Singapore, in notable locations such as Marina Bay Sands, Raffles City Rooftop, PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay, Tan Tock Seng Rehabilitation Centre; Pathlight School, just to name a few.

We design and conduct farming workshops for companies and schools at our locations, and create and run farming curriculum in schools that benefits educators and students. We hope to seed an interest for growing green things and the world around us by sharing our knowledge and passion.

A pharmacist-turned regional corporate executive for over two decades, Samuell is today both the CEO of EGC and a firm advocate for the social enterprise's dedication to creating social change through community-centric agriculture.
We come from all walks of life, from former Vice-Principals, diplomats, pharmacists, fresh graduates, bankers, consultants, sales managers, pastors, regional heads, home gardeners etc.
Our team is anchored by talented and committed locals, and complemented by foreign experts with global perspectives. Collectively, we have more than 100 years of farming experience and knowledge.
We simply love to grow green things, and passionately want to find a solution to Singapore's food security and waste management challenges.
We believe that Mother Nature is our greatest teacher, and that soil-based cultivation is incredibly beneficial for us as a nation, community and as individuals as well.
